Design Team Call - Final Day of Applications

I'm looking for a talented team of paper crafters to help promote Beccy's Place digital designs and provide inspiration and ideas using my images.

Only 24 hours left to apply for the position.

Three for February - Card Three

For my final Three for February card I decided to use watercolours in the form of Distress Ink markers.  I stamped and heat embossed the birdhouse on watercolour paper using black embossing powder, then used the markers and a water brush to add colour.

Three for February - Card Two

For today's card, I've stamped the same image as yesterday but heat embossed it with white embossing powder and coloured it with pencils.  The outcome is much softer and a lot more subtle.

Three for February - Card One

This month I've decided to work with one of the many gorgeous stamp sets I have in my collection.  It's from Imagination Crafts and features a lovely little bird, birdhouse, leafy branch and a couple of sentiments.  It's a wonderful set that would be suitable for lots of different occasions.

There are lots of interesting techniques you can use when stamping, from heat embossing to stamping on fabric.  This month I'm going to focus on colouring mediums and will show you how one stamp can have many different looks depending on the product you choose to colour with.

First up - alcohol markers.
Alcohol markers (e.g. Copic markers, Spectrum Noir, Sharpie, etc.) are wonderful when you want to achieve a bright, clean result.  They blend well, provided you use the correct paper, and now come in a huge range of colours for every imaginable project.  Not only do they look fabulous with coloured images, but they have the bonus advantage of being capable of colouring non-porous surfaces such as rhinestones, brads, metal and plastic.  You can use them to recolour embellishments and personalise most other items.

And here's my completed card.

Pinspired By...

This month, my Pinspired By card is based on a beautiful creation by Amber, from Damask Love.  She used lots of lovely bright colours and a little star shaped flower on her card, while I went with my favourite autumn tones and a gorgeous maple leaf stamp.

Baby Card

I finally had a chance to sit down and play with the new "Loving Stanley" set that was released earlier in the week.  I love this little bear, he's so quick and easy to colour and cutting around him is a cinch!

New Release: Loving Stanley

I'd like to introduce you to the newest member of the Beccy's Place family - Stanley.
I've designed Stanley to be an easy to colour character, with few lines and not too many intricate details.  He's great for beginner card-makers and also for those who love to fussy cut images for their paper crafts.
